Sharon Elaine Collins

Sharon Elaine Collins, 77, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Sharon was born June 6, 1946 in Columbus to parents Millard and Margaret Patton. She married William Michael Collins in November of 1974 and they attended Columbus First Assembly for many years. Sharon was a talented artist and loved to paint. She also enjoyed taking regular trips to Siesta Key Beach with her husband and family. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Gretchen (Michael) Barnett; her grandchildren, Bryan Drake (Gretchen Fulz), Allison (Wyatt) Shannon, and Cynthia Barnett; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike on October 9, 2022; and her parents. A memorial service for Sharon will be held Thursday, October 12 at 1 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
