Nicholas Gage Waggoner, 18, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019. Nick was born on February 4, 2001 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Larry “Chip” Waggoner and Veronica Reed. He attended North High School.
Nick loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and he loved animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to music, and had a wonderful sense of humor that always kept his family laughing. He loved spending time with his girlfriend, Ariel and her son, Camden, and loved hanging out with his best friend, Lane. He was also a collector of shoes and made sure to have expensive socks to match.
Nick is survived by his parents, Larry “Chip” (Pam) Waggoner and Veronica Reed; his sister, Natasha Fay (Matt Newberry) Waggoner; step-sister, Ashley Vaughn; step-brother, Donald Vaughn; his nephew, Sylus Newberry; two nieces, Leigha Newberry and Penelope Vaughn; Grandparents, Larry and Sherry Waggoner, and Barbara “Grams” Rose; Aunts and Uncles, Stacy and Mike Mellencamp, Debbie Asher, Melissa Crain, and Shawn and Melissa Rose; his girlfriend, Ariel Rooks, and her son, Camden; his life-long friend, Lane Nasby; and several other cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by Ryan Dingess, and his grandfather, Robert Rose.
A Memorial Service for Nick will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Jim Weld officiating. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
