Nathan Arel Rogers, 34, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 14, 1980, to Daniel and Bonnie Grable Rogers.
Nathan worked at Columbus Container for nearly 15 years where he developed many wonderful friendships. He was a lover of life and is remembered by many for his radiant smile and infectious laugh. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Nathan also enjoyed coaching baseball and football for his son's teams and supporting his daughter as she showed pigs and played softball. He was also an avid Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Colts fan.
Surviving with his loving wife, Angela McAnelly Rogers, are his two children, whom he adored, Alexis and Talan Rogers; his mother, Bonnie Rogers of Columbus; a brother, Clinton (Katie) Rogers of Columbus; sisters, Beth (Jake) Hege of Rensselaer, Indiana, and Katie (Ryan) Putnam of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Jon, Grover, and Dean Rogers, Sloan and Reagan Putnam, all of Columbus, and Owen and Hallie Hege of Rensselaer; and several beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. Also surviving are many close friends who Nathan cherished greatly.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Rogers, and grandparents, Conley and Vivian Rogers and Lewis and Mary Grable.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Myers-Reed Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a celebration of Nathan's life to be held at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Dean Manuel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a trust fund for the Rogers children through the funeral home.
