Jane was born on July 31, 1929 in Piqua, Ohio to Albert and Mary (Greeley) Roeser, who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1951 with a degree in education. In 1952, she married Paul E. Wagner and moved to Dayton, Ohio. She was a kindergarten teacher for the Kettering Ohio School System. After retirement, she and Paul moved to Safety Harbor, Florida, where they lived from 1982 until 2008. At that time they moved to Columbus Indiana.
Jane was a lifelong active member of the Tri-Delta Sorority. She was also involved in many civic and church organizations and clubs. Jane loved to travel, play cards, was an avid collector and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Paul, sons Michael (Debra) Wagner of East Tawas, Michigan, Mark (Brenda) Wagner of Columbus Indiana, grandchildren Julie (Bryce) Yates of New Albany, Indiana, Kaitlin Wagner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Alex (Jaclyn) Wagner of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Adrienne (Eric) Jones of Traverse City Michigan. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Jane McDaniel of Centerville, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Sat., Oct. 5 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel, 618 Eighth St., Columbus, Indiana... Rev. Gary Schaar will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. In keeping with Jane’s wishes, cremation is planned. Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. was in charge of arrangements.
