This March 24, 2021, SSG (RET) Terrence William Fletcher took his final breath, surrounded by his loved ones. The sun rose and the world welcomed Fletch on January 31, 1958, a day the world became a little brighter. Fletch lived a full and warm life, filled with happiness. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Fletch was born in Hanover, Illinois to parents Richard Allen and Nancy Ann (Hills) Fletcher.
He was married to Brenda Elaine Fletcher on December 19, 1980. He joined the United States Army on June 19, 1977 and retired on April 1, 1998. He then went on to work as a Messenger for Loomis and Brinks which lead to his final retirement in February 2020.
He enjoyed his time as a Boy Scout Leader, fishing, anything outdoors, hiking with his grandkids and watching the Cubs and Packers play. He was also a member of Striplin Terrace which led to him becoming a Boy Scout Leader.
He is survived by his spouse Brenda Fletcher (Columbus, GA); children Terrence Fletcher III (Beaufort, SC), Adam & Amanda “Evie” Fletcher; grandchildren Lucas Fletcher, Bruce Fletcher, Liberty Fletcher, and Benjamin Fletcher (Cusseta, GA); Mother Nancy Fletcher (Henderson, NV); siblings Tim & Nina Fletcher (Henderson, NV), Tammy & Calvin Clark (Manhattan, KS) and Rich & Kim Fletcher (Henderson, NV) and a handful of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by Father Richard Fletcher, younger brother, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
The memorial will be held April 1, 2021 at 3pm, Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907
Remembrance Gathering will be held April 1, 2021 at 6pm, VFW Post 5000 at 267 Old Louvale Rd, Cusseta, GA 31805
