Teresa Haney Parsons, age 55, of Columbus, GA, passed away on March 1, 2019. A visitation of family and friends will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Interment will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pennsylvania.
Teresa was born on November 9, 1963, in Bethpage, New York; the daughter of John Patrick Haney and Marjorie Devine Haney.
Teresa was extremely ambitious and smart; she was thoughtful, kind, and loving. She met her fiancé Geno in 2010, they have been inseparable ever since. She enjoyed many things; her garden, she specifically loved sunflowers; her dogs Tina and Daisy, home repair shows, and helping others.Teresa had three loves in her life: her sons, her fiancé, and cooking for others. What she loved most were her sons. She was a wonderful mother to her sons, instilling in them not to judge, to be kind, and to be caring. Teresa loved to cook for others, and enjoyed seeing their faces when they would taste and enjoy what she prepared.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Haney.
Survivors include: her sons, Kyle S. Parsons, Brian B. Parsons; her fiancé, Eugene “Geno” Plescia; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
