Susan’s lifelong passion for education included earning her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and her master’s degree from Columbus State University. She shared her passion with countless students and fellow teachers at Faith Middle School in Fort Benning, Georgia where she retired after 38 years. She was an extraordinary educator. She demonstrated a proficiency in archery, bowling, tennis, running (including the Boston Marathon) and more. She was a lifelong Auburn Tigers fan cheering enthusiastically at every opportunity.
Susan lived life to the fullest. The Fruit of the Spirit being Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control accurately describes the way she lived life among friends and family.
