Steve Woodham

Steve was born on November 16, 1951 in Columbus, Georgia to the late John T. Woodham and Sybil Dixon Woodham. He was married to Angela Wangle Woodham for 27 years. Together they lived in Columbus where they were close to family. Steve was an electrician by trade, but spent his last years working alongside his wife and daughter at Old School Barber Shoppe. He didn’t have it in him to retire. Steve loved his family and one of his greatest passions was behind the stove providing great conversation and great food for family and friends. Steve was a great man with a huge heart, always helping where needed.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Angela W. Woodham; son, Shane Woodham; daughters: Sherrie Lynne Grabis (Florian) and Dawn Beam (Charlie); brothers, Shelby Greathouse and Ken Woodham (Connie); sister, Cathy Muldrew (Mike); brothers-in-law Andy Wangle (Debbie) and Bobby Wangle; grandchildren: Steven Woodham (Kayleigh), Alison Morris (Brandon), Michael Woodham (Kendall), Anna (Nick) Woodham, Hannah Tyson, Jaycie Beam, Cailynn Beam, Channing Grabis, Lukas Grabis, Lexi Harper, and CJ Beam; great grandchildren: Callie Morris, Jaxon Rollins, and Regan Harper; a very special niece whom he loved like a daughter, Terri Smith and numerous other relatives. Steve was preceded in death by his parents: John T. Woodham and Sybil Dixon Woodham and brothers: Carlton Greathouse and Larry Greathouse.

A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus with Pastor Bradford McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Family will visit with friends Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia.
