Robert “Bobby” Parry Carr, 60, of Columbus, GA, passed on February 5, 2024. Bobby was born on July 6, 1963 to the late Gail Ann and Dwight Wesley Carr. A Memorial Service Officiated by Bud Rupel will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
Bobby was a caring man who loved to help others. He enjoyed playing Golf and teaching others to play as well. Bobby loved sports and his number one priority was watching Alabama football. He grew up riding bicycles and his sport of choice was BMX. As he got older he held onto his love for bikes on a track and went to motorcycle races all over the country with the Wright & Albritton family. Bobby also was a true salesman. He worked at many different car lots over the years, including Jay Toyota for significant time. He also enjoyed his saltwater aquarium and going skiing and tubing at the river. Bobby loved to paint and enjoyed touching up the paint in his home throughout the year. Bobby was a genuine, honest, and kind man and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his Godson, Clayton Wright; cousins, Barbara Walker, Susan Harrison, and Amy Grace; and many other special friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gail Ann and Dwight Wesley Carr; and beloved girlfriend, Michelle.
