Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, October 3rd from 5pm - 7pm at Striffer-Hamby Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at Riverdale Cemetery on Tuesday, October 4th at 11:00 am with the Reverend Brad McDaniel officiating.
Ms. Dennis was born November 10, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia. She is the daughter of the late Bernard and Clara Cheshire. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1960 and worked for Columbus Bank and Trust and The Bradley Center where she was an insurance representative.
Without a doubt, Patsy lived a life she enjoyed. She is a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Phenix City, Alabama and enjoyed fellowship with her church family. She was an avid bowler and traveled as far as Las Vegas participating in tournaments. Patsy also enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She could find a bingo game in any town she happened to visit. She was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother. The heartfelt love she had for her family and friends was easily seen in many ways. She will always be remembered for her infectious laughter and smile. This special lady will be greatly missed by all who knew here.
Ms. Dennis was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son-n-law, Jay Poague.
Survivors include her children, Wendy Massey (Mark), Kimberly Stocks, Tami Poague and Bradley Dennis (Betsy). Her grandchildren, Evin Massey, Adam Massey, Blake Bourne (Jodi), Logan Cotton (Ed), Tiffany Grubb (Eric), Bryce Duke (Kristen), Jacey Poague, Bradley Dennis, Jr., Madison Dennis. Her Great Grandchildren, Grayson Gentry, Brock and Mason Bourne, Brantley and Allijo Cotton, Alivia and Gunner Grubb, Axel Duke. Her sister and brother in law, Sherry and Paul Elder and two special nephews, Boo (Jennifer) and Caleb (Cary) Elder.
