Mary Lois Cotton

Mary Lois Cotton, 91, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Watson McKimie and Reverend Paul Thomas officiating.

Mary was born April 8, 1927 in Houston County, AL, to her late parents Jasper and Mary Godwin Brown. She retired from Swift Textiles where she worked in the Spinning Room. She was a loving Wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always loyal in her relationship with the Lord.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by: her Husband, Charles Vernon Cotton; son, Randy Cotton; and grandson, Michael Allgood.

Survivors include: her son, Gene Cotton (Merle) of Columbus, GA; daughter, Linda Allgood of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, Rodney Eugene Cotton (Linda) of Columbus, GA, Denise Allgood McKeller of Auburn, AL, Chris Cotton (Crista) of Smiths Station, AL, Pamela Mitchell (Mike) of Columbus, GA, Todd McPierson of Columbus, GA, Carolyn Ellis (Phillip) of Smiths Station, AL, Amberlee Swaney (Anthony) of Columbus, GA, Heather Griswold (Kyle)of Smiths Station, AL, Allison Shavers (Justin) of Columbus, GA, Lilly Mitchell of Columbus, GA, Tristan McKeller of Auburn AL, Laney Elizabeth Ellis of Smiths Station, AL, and Victoria Brocato of Columbus, GA.
