John A. Hanna, 64, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on September 21, 2022. Celebration of life for John will be held at LongHorn Steakhouse on Macon road Columbus, GA on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2PM.
John was born on October 23, 1957, in Bremen, Germany. He was the son of Clyde James Hanna and Catherine Barker Hanna. John graduated from Washington Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia. John began his career in the furniture business on the ground level and eventually owning and operating his own successful furniture store, The Bargain Warehouse in Columbus of over 20 years. John enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends. John never met a stranger, he loved people and socializing with those, he met and knew. He also enjoyed watching football especially the “Alabama Crimson Tide”, traveling, fishing, gardening and hunting. The activities he enjoyed were only enhanced when that time included his family and friends, whom he loved.
He is preceded in death by: his father, Clyde James Hanna and his previous wife, Anna.
John is survived by: his wife of 18 years, Kat “Kitty” George Hanna; daughter, Stephanie; mother, Catherine B. Hanna; two brothers, James Hanna (Mary) and Robert Hanna (Tayrn)
