John E. Baldwin

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in the Edgewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Reverend William Knowles will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Baldwin was born April 10, 1935 in Delavan, WI, son of the late Thomas C. and Ruby Sampsel Baldwin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Swift Mills after 35 years of dedicated service. Mr. Baldwin was Pentecostal by faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jo Baldwin, one daughter, Patricia Cook and two step sons, William H. Tye and Danny G. Tye.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by four children, John T. Baldwin, Robert E. Baldwin, Roy C. Baldwin, and Mary Ellen Byrd; two step-children, Mary C. Suggs and Delores A. Tye; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
