Joan Maxwell Holton, 69, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 1PM in the Edgewood Hall Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with visitation one hour prior. Ms. Holton will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery.
Born on August 18, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Bennett Thurston Maxwell and Therese Bosman Maxwell. Joan was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL. She loved the beach, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Joan had a warm and generous spirit that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennett Thurston and Therese Maxwell; and sister, Margie Maxwell.
She leaves behind her daughter, Kristi Morgan Wilmer to cherish her memories.
