Jimmy Lee McMullen Jr.

Jimmy Lee McMullen Jr., age 73, of Columbus, GA died on August 28, 2021. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 pm; with a funeral service being held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 11:00 am Striffler-Hamby Mortuary; interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery.

Jimmy was born in Donaldsonville, GA of February 20, 1948; the son of William Franklin and Hazel Shores Franklin.

Jimmy grew up in Columbus and made it his home for he and his family. Jimmy was a professional painter for 45 years, working for himself, Unique Painting and Robert Shores painting through the years and was Baptist by faith. He was a sweet humble man who after retiring enjoyed back porch sitting, gardening, boating, and fishing. What he truly loved was his family. Jimmy cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.

Jimmy is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife of 42 years Delories McMullen; his daughter, Kristie McMullen; a brother, Donnie Franklin.

Survivors include, a daughter; Laura Brown; four grandchildren, Shelby (Zach) Gray of El Paso, TX, Jessica Littleton of Waverly Hall, GA, Tyler (Beth) Littleton of Waverly Hall, GA, Skylar Brown of Columbus, GA; four great grandchildren, Kamden Igus, Adalynn Littleton, Shay Littleton, Jaxon Gray; and numerous other family members that will cherish his memory.
