Jeremy David Robertson, 37, of Columbus, GA, passed away at his residence on October 8, 2021. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 11AM in the chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Jeremy was born on February 1, 1984 to Lisa Michele Condrey and David Franklyn Robertson in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Hardaway High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He played football in high school and college and earned two national championship rings during his time at App State.
Jeremy could look intimidating but everyone knew he was an “Unofficial Teddy Bear.” When his cousins were younger, they would climb on him like a giant jungle gym. He was a big kid at heart and to know him was to love him.
Jeremy started his career in law enforcement working for the Muscogee County Sheriff’s office and had given 10 years of service. He was proud to be a deputy and took the responsibility of his work seriously. The job was stressful and he loved to joke around and play pranks on people to get a good laugh and, hopefully, put a smile on their face.
On April 13, 2018, Jeremy married Crystal Jackson, the love of his life. He was a hardworking, dedicated husband. His proudest moment was May 18, 2019 when their baby girl was born: he loved Emma Bean fiercely.
Jeremy loved spending time at home with his family. He enjoyed video games and collecting Dead Pool comic books. He also loved the beach and hanging out by the pool. Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin Robertson and Vivian Louise Robertson.
Jeremy will be forever missed by his wife, Crystal Hiwana Jackson; daughter, Emma-Louise Michelle Robertson; mother, Lisa Michele Condrey Brosch; father, David Franklyn Robertson; grandparents, Harry and Mary Condrey; and his family and friends.
