Helen Jeannine Myers Pattillo was born on November 22, 1932 to the late Helen Boggs Myers and Robert E. Lee Myers in Columbus, Ga. Jeannine passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 24, 2024. A private graveside service will be held for Jeannine Pattillo.
Jeannine Pattillo graduated with the class of 1951 at Jordan Vocational High School. In 1965 she became an Executive Secretary for Carmike Cinemas until 2008. Jeannie was a passionate enthusiast of the Columbus Springer Opera House, especially musical theater. She was a regular season ticket holder and supporter of the Columbus arts. Her fondest memories were those watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in their various pursuits. She loved traveling with various tennis teams her daughter coached or played on and became the Team Mom or Ma P to many. Her ability help those in need was a characteristic she passed on to her entire family and will never be forgotten. Jeannine will be remembered for her love for her family, music, and laughter. She loved the idea of a “wild goose chase” and spent several happy adventures with friends experiencing nearby local attractions. She is a beloved member of St. Anne Catholic Church serving as a greeter at Sunday Mass.
Jeannine is survived by her children, Karen (Raymond) Hodnette, Robert Franklin Pattillo III (Carole Williamson), and Valerie Carol Pattillo; grandchildren, Josh Williamson (Melissa), Jon (Tiffany) Williamson, Justin Williamson, Guy (Laura) Hodnette, and Ann (Brandon) Starley; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kamryn, Luke, Lily, Kyleigh, Waverly, Gavin, and Aubrey; and two great-great grandchildren.
Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pattillo, Jr.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, St. Anne Outreach or Columbus Hospice.
