Janet A. Davidson

Janet Anne Davidson, 77, of Columbus, GA passed Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am for family and friends.

Mrs. Davidson was born January 23, 1944 in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late Douglas and Bessie Walton. She was a devout member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church. Janet enjoyed being a chaperone for the Miss Georgia Pageant and was a member of the Columbus, GA Jaycettes. Janet was a real estate agent and office manager for several local home builders in Columbus. She married Mr. Arthur Davidson and they spent many cherished years together. Janet was a homemaker and loved raising her family.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Davidson; one son, Steve Darryl Newton (Kace); one daughter, Sheri Johnson; one daughter in law, Shannon Sallee; one son in law, Michael Davidson (Kami), twelve grandchildren, Kamren Newton, Kateland Newton, Madalyn Newton, Cason Newton, Parker Newton, Chandler Newton, Brandon Sallee, Sarah Sallee, Alivia Davidson, Gabe Davidson, Shane Olive and Tabitha Olive; two great grandchildren, Liberty Olive and April Benton; brother in law, Francis Davidson (Nancy) and sister in law, Ellen Walton (Larry).
