Hazel Patrick Britt

Hazel Patrick Britt, was 90 years of age when God called her home to Him on Sunday January 1, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 3, 2012 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia with Reverend Jay Bailey and Reverend Watson McKemie officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Britt was born April 29, 1921 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Fred Patrick and Aileen Johnson Patrick and also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ralph K. Britt. She was a long time member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church and the Bethel Sunday School Class. Mrs. Britt was a homemaker, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent many years as care giver to her mother. She loved to travel with Ralph and the XYZ group from church. She enjoyed needlework and knitting. Survivors include her two daughters, Regina Rose ( Edwin) of Cataula, Georgia, Rebekah Steele (Jim) of Olathe, Kansas, two granddaughters, Kimberly Rose Cantrell (Mac) of Columbus and Kelli Steele Hall (David) of Olathe, Kansas, six great grandchildren, Alec and Emily Cantrell of Columbus, Christopher, Benjamin, Nathan and Madeline Hall of Olathe, Kansas, extended family Rebecca and Tom Jeter, Cecelia Thomley.
