Grace Junita Arnold, 90, of Columbus, GA passed away at home surrounded by her adoring family, Thursday, December 04, 2014. She was born February 26, 1924 in Coffee County, AL, to the late Clem and Minnie Lee Holley. Grace, like many others, came from “Down Home” to Columbus, to work in the Textile Industry. She worked, and retired from Columbus Mills where she worked in the Spinning Room. Grace had a passion for Cooking and Canning. She loved her family and church and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 pm In the Wynnton Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 3:00 pm, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler- Hamby, followed by a Committal service with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating.
Along with her parents, Grace in preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Alto Arnold; and two sisters, Truman Fulller and Nadolva Holley. She is survived by her son; James (Nadine) Thompson of Columbus, GA; her daughter, Vernell (Frank) Malloy of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Jeffery (Colleen) Morris of Columbus, GA, Candie (Kenith) Aplin of Columbus, GA, and Michael Thompson of Columbus, GA; great grandson, Trever Shea( Bren) Morris of McDonough, GA, and great- great granddaughter Hadley Shea Morris; two brothers, Lloyd Holley of Columbus, GA, and Dan Holley of Gatlinburg, TN.
