Gloria Faye Massey

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday October 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM.

Faye was born on May 3, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Nelda Frazier Brown and James M. Brown. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Faye was a devout fan of Elvis and the Georgia Bulldogs. Faye loved to go to the beach, gardening in her yard, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially those who loved her. Faye was preceded in death by other than her parents, her siblings: Regina “Chink” Armstrong, James “Pee Wee” Brown, Louise Drake and her special Aunt Bobbie Flanary.

She is survived by her four sons: Norman Massey, Mark (Wendy) Massey, Jeffrey Massey, and Timothy (Ronda) Massey; her loving grandchildren who knew her as “Nana”: Trey (Maria) Massey, Evin Massey, Adam Massey, Blaine Massey, Aubry Massey, Wyatt, Massey, Haley (Benjamin Powell) Massey, and Autumn Massey; her beloved great grandchildren: Jamie, Grayson, and Oliver Massey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
