Gladys Dean Anderson

She was born on December 20,1929 in Wilkinson County, Georgia daughter of Nora Brown Dean and Calvin Dean. Gladys was married to Ernest Clifton Anderson; she was a homemaker and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Calvin Dean; Ernest Anderson, her loving husband of 43 years; her son Dale C. Anderson; and two brothers: Quentin “Boots” Dean, and Virgil “Jack” Dean.

She is survived by her son Delos (Fran) Anderson; her grandchildren: Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Anderson, Julie (Michael) Thomas, Alex Anderson, and Anthony Anderson; great grandchildren: Katie Anderson, Caroline Anderson, Madison Powers, Carson Powers, Hudson Powers, Jordan Thomas, Tristan Thomas, and Braedan Thomas; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. and a funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Richard Richie officiating. A procession will go to Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama following the service.
