Floyd E Abercrombie

Floyd Edmon Abercrombie, 82, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1942, to Allie and Peter Abercrombie in Columbus, Georgia and was one of three children.

Floyd enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger years and playing the stock market. He was an electrician by trade and owned his own company, The Columbus Compressor Company. He enjoyed being around his life-long friends whom were very important to him; Lonnie Smith, CD Roughton, and Mary Scarbrough. He will be remembered by his great sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his son, Eddie Abercrombie; his parents, Peter Floyd and Allie Rae Abercrombie; and his sisters, Elna Sansoucie and Rosetta Baxley. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Komendantov (Paul); his grandchildren, Aidan Komendantov (Ruby), Alex Komendantov, and Nastassia Jones (Travis).

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 in St. Elmo Room.
