A celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. James C. Elder, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Mausoleum.
Debbie was born in Columbus, on August 2, 1953 to Rex M. Hodges of Columbus, GA and the late Lyra Drane Hodges. Debbie was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Edgar Butt Drane, Sara Brim Drane Shelley and George and Lucille Hodges. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus and a member of First Baptist Church of Columbus. Debbie was heavily involved with the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) where she fought for the rights of those who are disabled.
Survivors include her father, Rex. M. Hodges of Columbus, two sons, Todd Quintard and wife Traci of Rome, GA, Nick Cash and wife Dianna of Africa, sister, Sara Hodges Harper of Columbus, brother, Sonny Hodges and wife Wanda of Prattville, AL, five grandchildren, Trey Quintard, Turner Rex Quintard, Eli Cash, Caroline Cash and Emma Cash, and several nieces and nephews. Debbie was a selfless mother and a very courageous woman her entire life, she leaves a Godly legacy to her sons and loving grandchildren.
