David Noel Barker

David Noel Barker, Precious son and brother, sweet Daddy, Paw Paw, Uncle Pookie-, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the age of 76 at Midtown Medical Center. David was born December 1, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia.

David is preceded in death by his wife Rexine Griffin Barker, his parents, Charles Jameson Barker, Jr. and Margaret B. Barker; his siblings, Charles Jameson Barker III, Laura Highnote, Tommy R. Barker and W. Frank Barker.

He is survived by his loving sisters Fearby Ethridge (Spencer) and Polly Simpson (Steve). He will always be remembered by his daughters, Brenda Barker Stapler (Ricky), Barbara Barker Fewell, Deborah Barker Johnson and Rhonda Barker Whitlock.

Steven McDowell Jr. (Lindsey), Jene' Hill McDowell (Logan), Justin Stapler, Meagan Johnson, Jennifer Fewell, Garrett Tuggle and five great granddaughters, Lucy, Lulah, Ida, Harper and Charlee. As well as several nieces and nephews.

He will be loved and missed immensely by his family, special friend Hilda, and his pups Charlie and Jolene.

In tribute to David, a simple man, everyone attending please wear your jeans and be comfortable for the services. Family will visit with friends Monday, January 29, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.
