Charles R. Key, age 70, of Waverly Hall, Georgia passed away on Friday April 13, 2018. Ronnie was born July 28, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia to his late parents, Katie and James Key. After High School, he began his career at Georgia Power Company where he continued his education earning his BA in Accounting and a MBA in Certified Public Accounting. He was always neat and organized, even at home where his lawn is always immaculate. Ronnie was also very fun loving, and was an avid Alabama football fan that loved to play sports and laugh with his grandsons. He adored his wife and they enjoyed traveling together. Ronnie will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by: brothers, R.J. "Frank" Key and Kenneth Earl Key. He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Key; daughter Amanda L Key; step daughters, Melissa Whiddon, and Angela Nix; step son, James Pasko; sister Kathryn Key Teaster; grandsons, Brandon Whiddon, Nickolas Whiddon, Little James Pasko, Dillan Pasko, Adam Pasko, Collin Nix, Jonathan Nix, and Joseph Nix; pets, Plato and Elsa; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
The family will welcome guests for a Celebration of Ronnie’s Life visitation and reception, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 2:30 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, with Reverend Dr. Tommy Henschel and Reverend Eddie Smith officiating.
