Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Trawick was born in Phenix City, AL on September 23, 1933 to the late James Edward Chadwick, Sr. and Willie Frank Riles. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus and was retired from Woolworth’s Department Store and later from Macon Road BBQ. Her husband Walter Thomas, Trawick, Sr. and a son, Homer Edward “Eddie” Trawick and his wife Rita Trawick preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Walter Thomas “Tommy” Trawick, Jr. and wife Faye of Phenix City, AL. granddaughter, Melissa Ann Funk and husband Steve of Smiths Station, AL. step grandson, Chris Sanders, two great grandchildren, Caleb Kyle Hill and wife Melissa, and Casey Mariah Sparks and husband James, a step great grandchild, Corey Sanders, three great great grandchildren, Troy Hill, Asa Sparks and Charlotte Sparks, several nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend and daughter, Pamela E. Trant.
