Joyce Holland of Upatoi, Georgia died on September 25, 2021 in Columbus, Georgia at the age of 80. She was the first baby born in the year of 1941 in Byron, Georgia to the late Ruby Little Grant and Joseph Cullen Grant.
Joyce was married to Elger H. Holland, Jr. and together they made their home in Upatoi. She was a great cook, loved to paint, work in her yard where she enjoyed the hummingbirds and flowers. Joyce loved her family and spending time with them at a good card game, especially poker is what one would call a great family night. Joyce enjoyed traveling with Elger, cruises were a favorite. Her collection of cookbooks are a testament to her talent of being a great cook.
Joyce was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt who will be greatly missed.
Joyce was preceded in death by other than her parents, Ruby and Joseph Grant; her grandchildren Michael “Scottie” Cramer and Brittany Wardwell; her children Michael Holland, Teresa Holland and David Holland; and her siblings Marvin Grant, Walton Grant and Lucy Ellen Grant.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years Elger Holland; brother, Chester Grant; sister Patricia Bell; son Scott (Robin) Cramer; daughter Donna (Truman) Carter; daughter Dana (Michael) Reynolds; son Grant (Amanda) Cramer; son Christopher (Amy) Cramer; her beloved grandchildren: Megan Robbins, Kristina Piccini, Justin Drew Reynolds, Elizabeth Neeley, Kathryn Reynolds, Austin Cramer, Aaron Crramer, Ashton Cramer, Noah Cramer, Kaila Eiland, Morgan Macdonald, Kadence Faison, and Christopher Reynolds; twelve beloved great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and beloved friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday September 28, 2021 in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Sam Vernon and Reverend Matt Avera officiating in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
