Ann Cannon DeLoach, age 100, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. A visitation for family and friends for Ann will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. The family will have a private family burial.
Ann was born February 7, 1921, in Columbus, Georgia; the daughter of Edwin Clarence Cannon, Sr. and Nellie Lee Page Cannon. Ann married John Grimes “J.G.” DeLoach, Sr. on December 23, 1941. She was one of a kind, who wore style, class, and success with dignity. She lovingly gave her support, encouragement, and advice to her family and friends. She was involved in her community, was a member of Columbus Civitan, a member of Retired Railroad Club, and a Lifetime member of Muscogee County PTA. Throughout her career, Ann worked and retired from, 1st National Bank, the Country Club of Columbus, and as the Office Administrator for Judge Warner Kennon. She worked hard, but always made family, her first priority. She was a member of Wynnbrook Bapstist Church, and the Marantha Sunday School Class, and strived to live Christian Values that brought her strength and peace. Ann loved her family, especially the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, during the holidays, with lots of laughter and memories made. She cherished being a wife, mother, and MiMi/Grandmother.
Preceded in Death: her husband, John G. DeLoach Sr.; her daughter, Sara Ann DeLoach; her brothers, E.C. Cannon, Jr., Bob Cannon, Thomas Cannon; her sisters, Jane Cannon Cheney, Sara Cannon Trentham, and Nell Cannon Huddle.
Survivors include: her daughter, Debbie Leonard (Jimmy); her son, John G. DeLoach, Jr. (Carol); seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, Special Sister-in-Law, Pat Cannon of Albany, GA; her special friends, Margie Cooner, Elsie Hight, Neva Mooney, and Susan Franks.
