COLUMBIA – A memorial service will be held for Colonel Warren “Tom” Thomas Prescott, 83, on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Col. Prescott passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family saying “please let me die so I can be eternal”. Born in Alexandria, MN, he was a son of Laurel “Bud” Warren Prescott and May Garnet Prescott. Col. Prescott had a very distinguished 30 year career in the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam, taught at Fort Leavenworth Command and General Staff College, worked for many years at the Pentagon and retired as Deputy Commander at Arpercen in St Louis, MO. He was a graduate of the University of Florida, an avid Gator fan. He enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his loving wife, Elsie Stephens Prescott; son Clayton Prescott and wife Beth of Hartsville; daughter, Susan Rosenbloom and husband Phil of Loxahatchee, FL; grandchildren, Phillip Brandon Prescott, Lee Warren Prescott, David Rosenbloom, Lauren Rosenbloom, Michael Rosenbloom and Andrea Koudelka; great grandchildren, Vayda, Mary Beth and Preston and his boxer, Andy who was his “little boy”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lee Prescott and grandson, Robert Thomas Koudelka.
