Shirley Anne Cline

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Shirley Anne Cline, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Columbia in Boyce Chapel. The family will receive following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Cline passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. Born in Greenville, SC on October 12, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Joel Smith and Viola Hopkins Smith.

Shirley was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, SC. She received her BA from the University of South Carolina and her Master’s from Clemson. She worked as a licensed family counselor. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. She was an avid Gamecock fan, enjoyed going to church and church activities, and traveling the world.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Terry Gene Cline, Sr. of Columbia; son, Terry Gene Cline, Jr. (Arah) of Columbia; grandchildren, Terry Graham Cline of Columbia, Grayson Elizabeth Cline of Columbia, Sarah Todd Cline of Charlotte, NC, and Zachary Andrew Cline of Charlotte; and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Idol Cline of Charlotte.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Todd Wakefield Cline; five brothers; and two sisters.
