He was born in Florence, SC to the late Robert Eugene and Elizabeth (Jean) Rogers Baldwin.
Robbie graduated from AC Flora High School in Columbia and enjoyed playing all the sports he could throughout his childhood and continued his love for sports when he found a passion for coaching youth baseball and eventually his daughter’s basketball team.
He was lucky enough to marry his high school sweetheart, Melissa (Missy) Bennett Baldwin. Not long after, he found his place working in the insurance industry and later excelled in sales due in large part to his zest for life and love of people, which was never more apparent than through witnessing his uncanny ability to talk to anyone and make it seem like they were old friends.
He was a passionate follower of all Gamecocks sports and Braves baseball, and absolutely loved his time on the golf course, whether he was playing in tournaments or just a casual round with family or friends.
He was a true gentleman who will be sincerely missed; however, he will be warmly welcomed with open arms into heaven by the family and friends that preceded him.
He is survived by his wife Missy Baldwin, daughter Lissa (Jeff) Cooper, and granddaughter Avery Layne who he was so proud to watch grow into a beautiful little girl over the last few years.
He is also survived by his sister Leslie Hewett and brother Scott (Susan) Baldwin along with multiple generations of loving family members.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Robbie’s name to the American Heart Association.
