Mr. Michael David Brunner

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:30 am at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:15 am at the chapel and after the service at the residence. Burial will be on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, 1640 Pennyroyal Road, Georgetown, SC 29440.

Born in Jacksonville, NC, he was a son of the late Michael Matthew Brunner and Cecilie Jean Landale Brunner. He graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in Meadville, PA and served his country in the US Navy. After his service he became an assistant Golf Pro at several clubs in North and South Carolina. Mr. Brunner went back to school and graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in Conway, SC. He worked for the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and retired from the SC Retirement System. Mr. Brunner was an avid golfer and a member of the Woodlands Country Club; he also enjoyed gardening and Carolina Panthers football.

Mr. Brunner was a loving husband, father, brother and friend; he is survived by his wife Wanda Harrelson Brunner; son, Gregory Brunner of Columbia; daughter, Suzanne Brunner of Washington, DC; sisters, Patricia Parcells (Christine Robins) of Corvallis, OR, Beverly Pfeiffer (John) of Silver Spring, MD, Julie Smith (Walter) of Raleigh, NC; sisters-in-law, Cynthia H. Creel (Allen) of Andrews, SC, Elizabeth Harrelson of Georgetown, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
