Mary Frances Wester

COLUMBIA – Mary Frances (Bost) Wester, 87, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel with Rev. Eric Walter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Born October 28, 1930 In Winston-Salem, NC to the late Anne Oakes Bost and John Hilliard Bost. She graduated from RJ Reynolds High School, Class of 1948 and Draughn Business College. She worked many years for the Greenville, NC school system at Wahl-Coates Elementary and then for Dr. Fred J. Smith, DDS as office manager until retiring in 2005 when she moved to Columbia, SC. She was married to the late James (Jim) A. Wester, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wester Siculan; son-in-law, Dan Siculan; granddaughter, Ryan A. McGrory; grandson, Todd Siculan; great grandsons, Killian Claghorn and Tanner Claghorn; sister, Hilda Swing and sister-in-law, Connie Wester.

Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Hospice in Irmo, Centenary Methodist Church, Winston-Salem, NC or Northeast Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC.
