Mary Moore Hartfield

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Mary Moore Hartfield, 89, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Hartfield died Sunday, July 10, 2022. Born in Ft. Payne, Ala., she was the daughter of the late William Marion and Verna E. Price Moore. An award-winning artist, she worked as Arts and Crafts Director at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Joy of Living Sunday School Class. She loved art and taught painting. Her art won many blue ribbons and was sold at the Village of Sandhills. She was a member of the Palmetto Painters Chapter, The Society of Decorative Painters, and the Dogwood Chapter in Atlanta.

Surviving are her son, David A. Smoak of Columbia; a nephew; two great-nephews; and one great-niece. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert H. Smoak, a son, Robert H. Smoak and five brothers.
