With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, and sister, Lori Strong. Our hearts are filled with grief as we bid farewell to a truly remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Lori was born on January 26th, 1960, in Ann Arbor, MI, and dedicated her life to helping others through service, healing, and social work. Her love, kindness, and unwavering support were the foundation of our lives. She married the love of her life, Chris Strong, and spent 37 wonderful years together, raising two beautiful, confident, and strong daughters together.
Lori’s gentle nature and empathetic heart made her a true friend to all who knew her. Her wisdom, guidance, and endless belief in our abilities and potential empowered us to pursue our dreams and achieve our goals.
Throughout her life, Lori was a passionate healer who sought always to help others achieve health and peace. Whether she touched your life as a social worker or made you a delightful charcuterie board, she put her whole heart into everything she did.
Lori had a deep love for football, was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, and found great joy in sharing these passions with others. Her warmth, compassion, and wit were a constant source of inspiration and joy.
We will forever cherish the memories we shared with Lori. From family gatherings filled with laughter and love to quiet moments spent together, her presence enriched our lives beyond measure.
Preceding Lori was her beloved mother, Joanne, and her father, Hank. She is survived by husband, Chris; two strong and beautiful daughters, Joanne and Emma; beloved older sister, Lynda Andrews; older brother, Mark; younger sister, Debbie Hunter; younger brother, Jeff Hunter; and her three nephews, Matthew Kirk, Micheal, and Justin.
Lori spent her final days in Athens, GA with her husband and daughters walking the campus of UGA and enjoying all the things they loved best. She passed peacefully, in her sleep.
As we grieve the loss of our beloved mother, wife, and sister we find solace in knowing that her spirit and memory will always be with us. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion continues to guide and inspire us in all we do.
A private family service will be held, with her eternal rest to follow.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made in her name to Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research at http://www.rallyfoundation.org/donate
May your soul find eternal peace, dear mother, wife, and sister. We love you more than words can ever express.
