Joêl Pascal Keigley

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Joêl Pascal Keigley, 55, will be held 3:00 p.m. March 7, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road. The eulogy will be delivered by his dear friend, Gary Seawell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The son of David L. Keigley and the late Marie Roby Keigley, he was born in Angoulême, France. Joêl attended Richland Northeast High School, where he lettered in varsity football. He was an events stage-hand for basketball games and concerts at Carolina Coliseum, a stage-hand for several local bands who toured the Southeast, and a parking attendant for years at Seawells for the Carolina football games and state fairs. No one loved the Gamecocks more than Joêl. He also loved UFC fights, drag racing, heavy metal music (hair bands), and his fur babies, Schnitzel, Summer and Storm.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his devoted life partner, Deidra Shirley; brothers, Willie, Fred and Eric Keigley; and many close friends including his best friend, Johnny Huddleston.

Joêl was a loving and carefree spirit. He will never be forgotten.
