Janet Irwin Jolley

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday November 4, 2021 at Dunbar Funeral Home- Devine Street Chapel.

Janet was born July 24, 1943 to Ward and Lorna Irwin in Binghamton, New York and raised in Pickens, SC. She received a degree in Business from Columbia College. She met her husband, Bob, in Greenville, SC and they were happily married for 29 years before his passing. Janet was a loving, caring mother to her two children, Lee and Robert, whom were raised in Fort Mill, SC. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed at Winthrop University in the business office, but eventually found her true passion in gardening. She spent countless hours in her yard and she truly made her space a beautiful oasis. Janet was blessed to have six grandsons whom she adored and loved dearly. Her love also transcended to pets and could not turn away an animal in need, caring for them as well as her own children. She was known by those that met her for her feisty and stubborn spirit that made her personality truly unique.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children Lee Robinson (Heyward) and Robert Jolley (Allison), her six grandsons Elliott, Matthew, Carlisle, Tyler, Tanner, and Thomas.
