Harry Charles Meyers

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hardscrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29223. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Northeast Chapel. Military funeral honors will be rendered at the service.

Harry graduated from Neshaminey High School in Langhorne, PA, Penn State University in University Park, PA, and received his Master’s Degree in mathematics from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Harry served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1958-1969, obtaining the rank of Captain.

After retiring to Columbia, SC, Harry mentored in math at Lake Carolina Upper Campus for twelve years, and also taught mathematics at a private school in Trevose, PA. He retired from Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. He was an avid sports fan of USC Women’s basketball, Penn State football, Philadelphia Eagles football, and Philadelphia Phillies baseball.

Surviving are his loving wife for whom he married December 17, 1966, Sandra Kay Lippert Meyers; sons, Mark (Lori), Thomas (Suzanne), and Matthew (LeeAnn); grandchildren, Magnolia Meyers and Sebastian Meyers.
