Harold Richard McGee

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Harold Richard McGee, 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. McGee died Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Albert Henry McGee and Ethel Whittle McGee. He attended Olympia High School and worked as warehouse manager for Pennington Seed Co. for over 50 years. He was well known and loved by many dealers, suppliers, customers, and farmers in the agriculture industry. Harold enjoyed fishing, classic cars and music. He was a member of Christian Life Assembly.

Surviving are his wife, Mary B. McGee of Columbia, SC; son, The Honorable Randall Edward McGee (Judy) of St. Matthews, SC; brothers, Paul McGee (Tricia), and Donald McGee of Columbia, James McGee (Bobbie) of Lexington and Ralph McGee of Graniteville, SC; sister, Gladys McCormick of Clearwater; grandchildren, Tucker, Cooper, and Laurie Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jackie McGee and his siblings: Albert, Jr., Charles, Marion, Carl, Frances, Vivian and Jewell.

Pallbearers will be Tucker McGee, Cooper McGee, Jim Elliott, Dale Stokes, Johnny McGee, and Gary McGee.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jeff Hook and Dr. Stacy Graham for their care during his illness.
