She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Ruben “L.R.” Brown, Sr. She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Emeneker (Al) and Janet Hobbs (Allan); grandchildren: Trent Emeneker, his wife, Emily, and their sons, Grey and Clark; Wesley Emeneker, his wife, Kelley, and their sons, Kenton and Leif; and Mary Carolyn Hobbs. Her grandchildren loved their Nana dearly.
Geri, as she was known to family and friends, graduated as an RN from Denver, Colorado, Children's Hospital. She worked at the Richland County Health Dept. in the Child Health division until her retirement and loved her work with physically and developmentally handicapped children and their families.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held.
