Born in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Luther Broadway, the late Pearl Jackson Morris, and the late James Morris. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Irmo, SC and attended New Salem Baptist Church after the death of her husband. She was an LPN and retired from the State Department of Mental Health.
Survivors include two brothers, Martin Broadway (Bobbie) of Sumter, and James Morris (Dorothy) of Coward; stepson, Don Derrick of California; stepdaughter, Beth Derrick of California; and her beloved cat, Sophie.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Cagle; sister, Louise Polito; and two brothers, Kenneth Broadway and Zannie Broadway.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Salem United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
