Carlisle Curtis “Carl” Fogle Jr.

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Carlisle Curtis “Carl” Fogle, Jr., 68, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Fogle died Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Carlisle Curtis Fogle, Sr. and Hazel Rebecca Watson Fogle. Carl was the Owner and President of Fogle Electric Company, Inc. Carl was an avid Porsche enthusiast and collector. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America, Carolinas region. He had a long history of Motocross and currently was riding the wooded trails in Neeses, SC. Among other hobbies and passions were RC Airplanes and traveling. He was associated with several flight organizations and hosted “Fly Ins” at Neeses, SC. He was formerly active in the Masons and Shriners. Carl was passionate about music, was a member of several working bands and played drums.

Carl was dedicated to his business, business associates, and employees. He was always concerned about their welfare above his own.

Carl was predeceased by his infant son, Glenn Anthony Fogle. Surviving are his wife, Cornelia M. “Connie” Fogle of Elgin, SC; son, Carlisle C. Fogle, III of Columbia, SC; daughters, Sherry Fogle Green (John) of Pelion, SC, Brandis F. Vannoy (Jamie) of Illinois, Lindsey Sanchez (Raul) of Michigan, Michelle Martin of Elgin, and Heather Martin of Camden, SC; daughter-in-law, Kay Hampton of Columbia, SC. Carl leaves behind his most loved and cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brother, Hugh “Tony” Fogle (Brenda), and his sister, Susan Parrott (Lee). He had a great love of family and he will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Uncle Bobby.

The family wishes to thank the many friends and coworkers who have assisted with food, errands, and all the many tasks during this difficult time. We also would like to thank Daniel Anders, Darlene Simpson, and Alex Storrs for their support of the family and most especially the business. Fogle Electric Company will remain in excellent hands.
