Rachel Bedwell Pinkham

Rachel Bedwell Pinkham, age 82 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She operated her own salon and worked more than 30 years as a hairstylist. Rachel was known to be witty and often had a sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Rachel was also a woman of great faith and worshipped her Lord at Mays Creek Church of God where she was a member.

Rachel was preceded in death by her husbands, Ancel Jones, and Lonnie Pinkham; parents, Bill Bedwell and Elsie Bedwell; sister, Rosemary Cox; brother, Ronnie Bedwell; granddaughter, Caroline Hammond; and brothers-in-law, Allen Herring, and Hoyt Forbes. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Lydia Jones Hammond; sons, Jackie “Corky” Jones, Mike Jones (Violet), and Andrew Jones (Jeannett); a sister, Ramona Forbes; brother, Ralph Bedwell (Diane); six grandchildren, Lonna Griffith, Matthew Hammond, Ancel Jones, Bradferd Jones, River Jones , and Brooklynn Polk; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Mays Creek Church of God in Foxworth where family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time. Reverend Tim Bedwell will officiate and burial will follow at Thomas Cemetery assisted by Rusty Jones, Ancel Jones, Matthew Hammond, Mark Bedwell, Connor Bedwell, and Phil Lafferty as pallbearers.
