Miss Mia Trujillo, age 14 of Foxworth, MS passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God and a student at West Marion High School. Mia was a fun loving, free spirited, full of life, amazing young lady. She did not meet a stranger and was always there for anyone who needed her. She loved life and she loved to help others. She helped just as many people in life as she has in death. Mia was tragically taken away too soon but she will always be loved and never forgotten.
Mia was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, James Taylor and Bessie Taylor. Survivors include her parents, Salvador Trujillo and Tabitha Taylor; a sister, Audriana Taylor; a brother, Malakai Trujillo; maternal grandparents, Cynthia Rayburn, and James “Tommy” Taylor and Charity Taylor; paternal grandparents, Antonio Gomez and Gloria Corona; her great-grandmother, Ellen Peak Green; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Church of God. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 19, 2021 in the church sanctuary where friends may visit with family from 12:00 PM until service time. Reverend Daniel Smith and Reverend Carroll Gatlin will preside over services and interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
