Mary Ellen Fay

Mary Ellen Fay, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family and her loving caretakers at the age of 89. She was born in Shullsburg, Wisconsin to Thomas and Ellen Alderson and has been a resident of Columbia since 1978. Mrs. Fay enjoyed playing Bridge and participating in many community activities. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; four brothers; her husband, Alfred Smith Fay; a son, Daniel Thomas Fay; and a grandson, Zachary Thomas Fay. Mrs. Fay is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ellen (Dale) McLain and Linda Jeanne Pavlik; two sons, Barry Edward (Pamela) Fay and Randall James Fay; a brother, Leonard Alderson; three grandchildren, Sean (Kate) Covich, Joshua (Jenna) Fay, and Erin Fay; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fay will be laid to rest at West Tennessee State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee with a private service.
