Grace Sullivan, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born January 14, 1934 in Sumrall, MS and resided in Columbia, MS. Grace was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of North Columbia Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, instilling biblical principles to many children. She enjoyed many of life leisure’s including traveling, antique car clubs with her late husband, Harold; and Southern Miss football; never missing a game. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, and considered family her top priority in life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sullivan; parents, J.C. Riley and Lucy Cooksey Riley; and all seven of her siblings. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Debbie Haddox (Charlton) of Columbia; her sons, Eddie Sullivan (Donna) of Columbia, and Danny Sullivan (Cherie) of Fayetteville, GA; four grandchildren, Brett Haddox, Brandon Haddox, Leanne Thomas, and Renee Hatcher; and two great-grandchildren, Brennan Hatcher, and Jonah Wilks.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where friends may visit from 9:00 AM until service time. Reverend Tommy Stogner will officiate and burial will follow at Rocky Branch Church Cemetery assisted by Wayne Riley, Keith Riley, Robert Riley, Tommy Riley, Steve Riley, and Gail Robertson as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Columbia Baptist Church Youth Fund.
