Evelyn Louise Robbins, 93, of Youngsville, LA passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was born and reared in Seminary, MS, and after her marriage to William Lavon Robbins, she became a resident of Columbia, MS where she became a member of Enon Baptist Church. Evelyn was a kind, loving, and thoughtful lady, and always had kind and encouraging words, and did many thoughtful deeds. She was a hard worker and retired after 28 years with Pioneer Aerospace.
Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clyde Howell and Abbie Lott Howell; her husband, William Lavon Robbins, Sr.; a sister, Snow Dell Pasour; brother, Gerald Howell; a son, Danny Reed Robbins and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Robbins; son-in-law, Harlon Walker; grandson, Robert Scott Holmes; granddaughter, Danna Buckley; and a great-granddaughter, Amelia Holmes. Her memory will be forever cherished by her son, William Lavon Robbins, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Columbia; her daughters, Diane Holmes and husband, Joe, of Columbia, and Cheri Walker of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren, Tony E. Holmes, Jeremy Robbins, Elizabeth Robbins, MacKenzie Robbins, Samuel Robbins, Diana Walker, Abbie Buckley, Reed Holmes, and Brandon Robbins; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time. Brother Richard Magee will officiate at the service and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery assisted by Lavon Robbins, Sam Robbins, Fletcher Rawls, Tony Holmes, Landon Holmes, and Joe Holmes as pallbearers.
