Mr. Baker was born on February 29, 1920 to William “Tommy” Thomas and Josephine Esther Burton Baker. Mr. Baker lived in Columbia, MO most of his life except the last five years when he lived with his daughter in IN. He served during WWII in the 8th Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheryll (Guy) Kuroiwa; grandchildren, Kiersten and Derrek Kuroiwa; 3 step children, Kimberly, Guy Jr. and Christine; 7 step grandchildren; 3 sisters, Velma Morris, Elizabeth Smith and Geraldine Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lillian Derrick Baker; his infant son, Michael Baker; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4708 Highland Parkway, Columbia, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 904 Old Highway 63, Columbia, MO.
