Mary Marie Schmidt

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, MO with funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary was born on December 14, 1930 in East Prairie, MO, the daughter of James and Esther (Ray) Lee, who preceded her in death.

In October, she celebrated 68 years of marriage to Donald L. Schmidt who survives. She is also survived by her sons, Donnie (Jennifer) and Ronnie (Karen) both of Columbia; one brother, Owen Lee (Evelyn) of Orange Park, FL; two sisters, Margaret Hart (Richard) of Columbia and Louise Hart (Jack) of Winchester, IN; two sisters-in-law, LaVerne Lee of Indianapolis, IN and Joan Agregard of Dickinson, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary worked for Shelter Insurance Company in Columbia for over 28 years, but her greatest pleasure was time spent with her seven grandchildren, Cory, Justin (Devin), Kelli, Ryan, Mallory, Robby, and Bradan, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Landon, Jasper, and Blake. They loved her dearly and will miss her constant companionship.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, David Lee, Jimmy Lee, and Robert Lee (Marilyn).
